As entrepreneurs we can always use a little help. Whether that’s someone holding us accountable, a person to bounce ideas off or someone to talk to about our businesses. Introducing: Kimberly Dawn – the lady boss behind KD and You Coaching – which is exactly this. If you’ve ever felt like your wheels are spinning but you don’t know where to go, send an email to this lovely!

WHAT DO YOU MAKE/SELL? TELL US ABOUT YO’ SELF.
I am a Success Coach, and have been trained by one of the founders of my industry, The Coaches Training Institute.
I wish I could tell you I sold success by the jarful! But what I can say is that I help you unclasp those pesky jars to get to the jammy success you’ve stored right inside of you. My job is to hold space for women (usually creative entrepreneurs) to explore their most resonant and meaningful solutions to both personal and professional situations.
My heart-centred goal is to inspire women to live life ON purpose by helping them rediscover, honour and grow their life’s passions and purposes — one powerful conversation at a time.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU HAD YOUR BUSINESS?
Since January 2016
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
KD and You started following my annual performance review at my last corporate job. My boss at the time scared the living daylights out of me: “If you continue down this road, you will be forever stuck in Administration”. Errr.. yeah, no thanks!
I always knew I wanted to somehow help people, and my previous ventures in Psychology and Social Work didn’t seem to fit. So, I took to the Internet to research all conceivable ways to help others become their best selves through conversation, and I stumbled upon Co-Active Coaching.
A week later I enrolled in the Co-Active Training Program at The Coaches Training Institute, incorporate KD and You Coaching Inc., and never looked back.
WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOUR WORK?
I seek and find inspiration in the immeasurable kind moments of humanity told between total strangers. I love to people watch and mentally dig into the sublingual context of their interactions. I draw on personal experience to add my flare to my creative content — mostly in the form of blogging and photography.
We are amazing creatures with a huge capacity for love and forgiveness, and my life is a compilation of my own experiences and eyewitness accounts of these moments.
Literary-speaking, I’m totally awestruck by Brené Brown (ultimate #girlboss crush!), Elizabeth Gilbert, Danielle La Porte, Napoleon Hill and Pema Chodron. Utter Legends.
WHAT DO YOU DREAM FOR YOUR BUSINESS IN THE FUTURE?
That’s such a big question. I ultimately dream to make a difference in the individual lives of women; from bringing their entrepreneurial dreams to life, to holding space for them to explore the depths of difficult situations and breathe peace into their lives.
My dream is that everyone I work with, or who comes into contact with me, leaves with the unbridled belief that they intrinsically matter.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM AND WHY?
Instagram! It’s so versatile and it combines my love for photography and storytelling. I do all of my own photography and love the instant connection it creates to the messages I want to convey.
HOW DO YOU PICK YOURSELF UP WHEN THINGS GO WRONG?
I operate from the perspective that “nothing really goes wrong; sometimes things do not go as expected, but they turn out just as they were intended”. For me, I learn SO much in my struggles that I have started to revel in and appreciate them in real time.
I’m also a Scorpio woman, so by nature I’m passionate and a fighter ‘til the end. Struggles and disappointments inspire me to push harder — that’s when my achievements possess an inconceivable amount of fulfillment.
WHAT’S ONE THING NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT YOU? GIVE US AN INTERESTING FACT!
I can eat more than most adult men. I’m tiny but mighty — especially when it comes to dessert.
IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY SUPER POWER WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Not to be cliché, but I would want the super power of flying. The freedom, the views, and the limitlessness call me home… All with a pink cape, of course.
