Singer songwriter @lisettexavier recently teamed up with @skippingstoneca to provide one-on-one makeup sessions for trans and gender-diver youth in a safe space where they could feel free to explore. She reports that, “because of everyone’s generosity, every youth who came in went home with a matching foundation, blush, bronzer, lipsticks, eye shadows, and brushes, and the knowledge on how to use them all.”

The aim is to provide ongoing support for all youth in the trans community as they need it, so the call for makeup supplies continues! If someone is interested in making a makeup donation, please send an email to anna@skippingstone.ca.

The Skipping Stone Foundation is a Calgary-based not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide support and empower trans and gender diverse youth and their families in Alberta. Their goal is to break down the barriers of negative stigma to give youth positive and affirming opportunities surrounding their gender identity through mental health support, medical transition related services, workshops, scholarships, skill building opportunities, and peer support.
