I am a blog contributor and writer inspiring thought and sharing life through pictures and words.
(My bio: Dallas is an outgoing introvert with a caffeinated jump in her step and an overly accurate sense of time. At this stage of the motherhood game, she is constantly in pursuit of simplicity for her health and her sanity, but also to model a life lived on purpose for her mini-tribe. A self-proclaimed Scandinavian wannabe, Dallas loves clean lines, bright whites, dashes of grey and tons of stripes. Her heart soars when mail is delivered to her door (not her inbox), heart-to-hearts with her international best friend and pom-pom laden apparel. Tears, tantrums, laughter and the darnedest two-year –old sayings are part of her every day in her half-German, half-Canadian home. Fun fact? Dallas seems to have either a clock or calendar in every room of the house. A subconscious sign of her need for punctuality.)

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I consider myself a connector of people and ideas. I’m not a pioneer, but a ripple effect. I spread messages – mostly messages that have been said before. As such, friends and family were constantly asking me “how I did this”, “where I bought that” and “who could I contact for such and such”. Rather than writing individual messages, I just started to right one document and send it around. And then … voila. Blog content.
WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOUR WORK?
My day-to-day life inspires my work. Motherhood, beauty, pain, hope … My themes generally fall under pursuing simplicity and creating significance.
Note: This is a deceiving oxymoron because sometimes significance isn’t simple. Or simple isn’t significant. A fine balance if I do say so myself!
WHAT DO YOU DREAM FOR YOUR BUSINESS IN THE FUTURE?
Honestly, I feel like I’m dreaming already. I want to continue to grow, but numbers aren’t my concern. I want to grow as a mom, as a friend, as a connector, as a person. I’m a small tribe person and want to continue to connect with people. Future? Finish where I started. Writing and contributing for causes and passions that generate simplicity and significance.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM AND WHY?
Blogging. Because pictures can deceive. Life isn’t as perfect as a picture.
HOW DO YOU PICK YOURSELF UP WHEN THINGS GO WRONG?
I’m a crier. No shame in it. I might need a good cry, then onward and outward. I usually group message, what I like to call, “my posse” to seek advice, laughter and motivation. I think the laughter helps the most.
WHAT’S ONE THING NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT YOU? GIVE US AN INTERESTING FACT!
I have a clock and/or calendar in every room of the house. I also never wear jeans. Cords or leggings. Life is too short for restricting pants.
IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY SUPER POWER WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Other than having the ability to fly, it would be to snap my fingers like Mary Poppins and everything would tidy up and be back in its place. Especially the dishwasher. #momlife
