WHAT DO YOU DO?
I’m an interior decorator and blogger. With a keen eye for decor, I bring a unique and creative approach to all my projects. Nothing excites me more than bridging the right design with personal style to create spaces that are warm, inviting, and layered with details of my clients story.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU HAD YOUR BUSINESS?
While I’ve always been designing and re-designing my spaces and the spaces of my friends, I only took the leap and started advertising my services to the world as of two months ago.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I have always been interested in décor and interior decorating, even as a child, I had to have a coordinating and well decorated room. In University, my dorm room was so well decorated, people would stop by just to have a look! I spent last year interning with a local boutique interior design firm where I helped with everything from writing blogs, ordering samples, installing projects, etc. and asked a ton of questions.
WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOUR WORK?
Interior decorators and designers that I admire, from local ones like AlyKhan Velji and LeAnne Bunnell to Sarah Richardson, Genevieve Gorder, Vicente Wolf, Miles Redd, Victoria Hagan and many others. I’m also always inspired by travel, whether to far off places or undiscovered corners in my own backyard, exploring always gets my creative juices flowing.
WHAT DO YOU DREAM FOR YOUR BUSINESS?
I dream of creating a thriving styling and decorating business and an influential lifestyle brand. I dream of having a team of energetic, creative, and passionate people working with me.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM AND WHY?
I absolutely love Instagram. It’s a natural fit for décor and styling, as it’s such a visual platform. I also love everything about photography, I love styling a picture, taking the picture, editing it and then of course sharing it!
HOW DO YOU PICK YOURSELF UP WHEN THINGS GO WRONG?
I reach out to my girlfriends. Especially those who are entrepreneurs, who get the struggle, the up and downs and can offer advice, a pep-talk, glass of wine, or whatever else may be needed.
