I make handmade raw gemstone and fashion jewelry pieces that compliment all outfits! From a casual day running errands and grabbing coffee, to glammed up nights out – Brittany Evelyn Jewelry is definitely what you need.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU HAD YOUR BUSINESS?
I started this business in 2015 and it has been BOOMIN ever since!
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I was just about to begin my Masters in Counselling Psychology and somehow this happened at the same time… what started as a hobby and creative outlet has grown into a labour of love that I am so proud of! My business allows me to express myself creatively and feed my passion for the art, fashion, and magic. I am now finishing my Masters degree program, but look forward to where Brittany Evelyn Jewelry will take me.
WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOUR WORK?
My family is full of artists and I had always thought that I had missed out because I was more interested in academia. I have always been a DIY-addict and I am always scrolling through pinterest and fashion blogs to watch trends. I am inspired by women and creators who are not afraid to take a leap and accept the challenge and call of creativity.
WHAT DO YOU DREAM FOR YOUR BUSINESS IN THE FUTURE?
I love seeing people wearing my pieces! I would love to collaborate with other local designers and see local fashion designers succeed in business and be represented in the global market. Canada has so much to offer and I want the world to see us. I would love to see my business grow and evolve into whatever is meant to be!
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM AND WHY?
I am addicted to instagram and snapchat (once I figured out how to use it!) – even my cat has an instagram account!
HOW DO YOU PICK YOURSELF UP WHEN THINGS GO WRONG?
I used to get so frustrated when a design did not come out how I had planned, but so many of my favourite pieces have come from mistakes. So when things go wrong… I like to take a breath, call it what it is, and move on. Life is too short to cry over design mishaps.
WHAT’S ONE THING NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT YOU? GIVE US AN INTERESTING FACT!
Well…. that depends on how long we have known each other, if we met at a market …. You might not know that I am ADDICTED to my rescue cat Hudson. However, if you know me longer than 10 minutes, you will probably know about Hudson and I will probably have shown you at least 10 photos. He is so cute! @hudson.is.my.name à see for yourself
IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY SUPER POWER WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I would want to be able to transport myself to anywhere just by thinking about it. I would save so much money and time on travel!
