Hi, my name is Suzanne, but my friends call me Suz and I love photography!

These days I work mainly as a portrait and lifestyle photographer.

What better way to start the May long weekend than by enjoying a Saturday afternoon with a wonderful group of inspiring women over high tea at the fabulous Azuridge Estate Hotel.

Azuridge is such a beautiful venue, for a moment I thought the queen might be joining us for a spot of tea … Yeah, I wish.

The lovely founders of YYC Girl Gang went above and beyond organizing a fantastic event, putting together swag bags for each of the attendees to dive into and enjoy.

While tea was being served there was plenty of time for the boss babes to eat and mingle, snapping selfies, exchanging cards and just having a jolly great time getting to know one another.

Our first speaker was the fabulous Kamea from MKT Communications who gave us the download on Search Engine Optimization (SEO).  As you can imagine there is a lot to cover on this topic. Kamea, you were awesome at unpacking the basics of SEO for business. Simply put SEO is a mix of technical and creative activities to increase your rankings on search engines like Google and Bing. An example of this would be blogging regularly and using “key words” to give your website a boost in the search rankings. Give Kamea a shout if you would like more information.

Next up was the lovely Nicole who is YYC Girl Gang’s vice president and also the fearless boss lady behind Salt Water Tea. Nicole shared her wisdom on wholesaling your product, whilst looking beautiful wearing a floral crown. She gave us the do’s and don’ts of getting your product out into the market place to be sold by other businesses. My favourite tip that Nicole shared with us; “don’t own the whole street”, be selective with where you place your product.

I am so grateful for this group of fierce and fabulous boss babes.

Thank you YYC Girl Gang, it was an absolute pleasure photographing and meeting many of the amazing ladies at the Azuridge High Tea.
