What do you make / sell? Tell us about yo’ self.
We sell highly coveted, independent beauty products which promise and promote social responsibility. As make-up artists we also do in-store applications.
How long have you had your business?
We are approaching our one-year anniversary.
How did you get started?
I studied make-up artistry at Artists Within and have worked at Jerome Salon and in cosmetic retail for the past ten years. As someone who has a strong desire to contribute to a healthy planet, I decided that I would build a retail business around beauty brands which are ethical, cruelty free and sustainable, not to mention, brands which are difficult to find.
Who or what inspires your work?
My work is very visual and ranges from theatrical to subtle and is inspired by pop-culture and nature. I follow a broad range of make-up artists on Instagram and Facebook and am very inspired by the creativity on these platforms.
What do you dream for your business in the future?
I look forward to using my business to promote communication and collaboration within the professional and consumer beauty industry. When I reach positive cash flow, I hope to contribute to not-for-profit organizations including Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan and those assisting first nations here in Canada.
What’s your favourite social media platform and why?
Instagram: it allows you to connect with the people who inspire and due to its visual nature, it is ideal for the make-up industry.
How do you pick yourself up when things go wrong?
I am a very upbeat person and positive in nature and when thing go awry, I tend to look forward and think constructively knowing that all issues have a solution.

I like archery (target shooting).
If you could have any super power what would it be?
The power to time travel.
