What do you make / sell? Tell us about yo’ self.
I am making and selling knitwear that is cute enough for city living but cozy enough for adventuring in the mountains!
How long have you had your business?
2-3 months
How did you get started?
I always go to Market Collective and was jealous of other people selling their stuff. I’ve always wished I had a creative pursuit so when I ran out of things to knit for myself I decided I would try my hand at selling!
Who or what inspires your work?
I make things I like or things for people I love. My boyfriend inspired my only current unisex pattern and I knit a pair of string mitts at a friend’s request because she loses hers.
What do you dream for your business in the future?
I dream that I will sell enough to keep going and that I will get to meet more makers. Knit nights have been so fun I can’t wait util I can start markets and make market friends!
What’s your favourite social media platform and why?
Instagram! I’ve been on Instagram practically since day one because I love taking photos. I used to take my point and shoot camera everywhere I went (including the bar) before phone cameras became decent in order to take pictures of my friends and our adventures. Its really cool how it has morphed into a place to grow a community.
How do you pick yourself up when things go wrong?
I talk to my loved ones and they help to hold me up and push me forward. A good cry always helps the world seem a little brighter.
What’s one thing no one knows about you? Give us an interesting fact!
I worked at Walt Disney World for two summers during university!
If you could have any super power what would it be?
Mindreading. But only if I could turn it on when I wanted to.
