We are a scheduled evening parcel delivery service that helps de-stress your life. Our concierge service helps online shoppers to skip the frustration of missed deliveries and get their stuff when they want it, by a butler in a full tuxedo.
How long have you had your business?
operating for 4 months, but building for about 2 years
How did you get started?
Like most people I have a busy life and started shopping online to save time. But then, my parcel is delivered in the middle of the day and shocker, I’m not home! Now I have to find time in my evening to go pick up my parcel wherever it ended up. It was extremely frustrating and annoying, I figured there had to be a better way. That’s where Parcel Butler was born.
Who or what inspires your work?
I am inspired everyday but the women I see attacking life! Whether it be in the corporate world, entrepreneurial life, or managing kids and a home. It takes a lot of time and energy in the day to accomplish it all. If our service can give you a little extra time or make it so you have one less thing to plan for or worry about, then that’s a win for me.
What do you dream for your business in the future?
First of all I don’t call it a dream, I call it a plan! My dream is to take Parcel Butler nation wide. I want to offer all Canadians the ability to not have to stress or plan their life around when they think that important parcel will be arriving at their door.
What’s your favourite social media platform and why?
I would have to say Instagram. I think you can say so much with just a picture. They also have the live video now, so you can really connect with the people that follow you.
How do you pick yourself up when things go wrong?
I am fortunate to have a great support system around me that is always there when I need them. Also, I like to remind myself that every failure is just taking me one step closer to my goal. I try to look at them as lessons, not failures. It can be hard in he moment, but after I step back and collect yourself, I can always see what I needed to learn. So pretty much I’ve been doing lots of “learning” on my entrepreneurial journey!
What’s one thing no one knows about you? Give us an interesting fact!
It’s not really a secret, but it is interesting. I come from a family of 7 kids. I have 4 older brothers, a younger brother and a younger sister. I think my parents are a little bit crazy! There is no way I could manage that many kids. Growing up with that many siblings has really helped me to develop my problem solving and negotiating skills though, that’s for sure.
If you could have any super power what would it be?
I know this is going to sound super nerdy, but I would love the ability to not need to sleep. Could you imagine all the work you could get accomplished if sleep would stop getting in the way! lol
