What do you make / sell? Tell us about yo’ self.
I am a Calgary based photographer and shoot using mostly film cameras. I love living in the Rocky Mountains. You can always find me outside adventuring with my young son.
How long have you had your business?
I have been doing photography for three years.
How did you get started?
I had a film camera when I was young and loved being able to capture what I saw. I bought my first serious camera in my early twenties. Nature took its course and now I can’t go anywhere without a camera.
Who or what inspires your work?
I like the challenge of making a beautiful moment timeless. I collect vintage cameras and prefer to shoot using film. I find it to be more authentic. It gives a feel that cannot be replicated through digital means.
What do you dream for your business in the future?
I would love to be able to expand my studio to LA or New York.
What’s your favourite social media platform and why?
Instagram is an extremely creative community. It is amazing that you can share so much in a 4×5 box.
How do you pick yourself up when things go wrong?
Often through failure comes success. I try to remember that and keep moving forward.
What’s one thing no one knows about you? Give us an interesting fact!
I am a crazy cat lady. I own three adopted cats, Mr. Bitey, Bojangles and Bugsy. Adopt, don’t shop!
If you could have any super power what would it be?
I would love the ability to teleport. There are so many amazing things in this world to see and never enough time to do it all.
