Tell us about your biz, what do you do/make/sell? How long have you been in biz?
Around three years. The first two were more ‘hobby years’ but I decided to kick things up a notch in 2017 and really get into a business mindset.
How did you get started?
I’ve always been drawn to holistic methods of healing and wellbeing. This led to gaining certification in Reiki and Flower Essences. From there I began to explore the world of aromatherapy and fell in love with it.
In the fall of 2014, while still living at home, I decided to make the jump. I used the spare bedroom to set up a workshop, and began exploring different ideas for products.
Who or what inspires you?
Samantha Orthlieb who owns ‘Senses of the Soul.’ I went in to see her early on in my journey and she had some great insights and advice for navigating a holistic based business. Also, Jennifer Ash Williams, my Reiki teacher from Mount Royal University’s Continuing Education program. She just emanates love and light!
How do you pick yourself up when things go wrong?
Meditation of course.
Lately I have been getting into guided meditations. I love listening to them before bed and first thing in the morning. It keeps me focused and helps me start and end my day on a positive note.

Flying…hence the pilots licence, haha.

What’s your favourite social media platform and why?
I love the creativity Instagram offers. Though I do feel a certain amount of pressure to create content and photos that are up to par with the rest of what I see out there. I try not to view it as a competition but rather inspiration for how I can improve my Instagram game.
